There is no specific surfing season in Hungary right now. But even if there were, our waves are not conducive to this sport. Not so in Australia, where Rip Curl is active in the world of surfing. Citroën is active in the world of cars, and a few of their hard-luck colleagues are also in Australia for a few days. The latest fruit of the 16-year collaboration between the two companies is the Citroën Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision, which was specially designed for the needs of surfers. The super cute buggy will be on display exclusively in Hossegor for the Rip Curl GromSearch International Finals, in partnership with Citroën. The event will take place from November 4 to 8, 2025.

Citroën is a partner of the Rip Curl GromSearch International Final, which will be held near Hossegor from November 4 to 8, and will feature champions under 16.
"We are extremely pleased to renew our partnership with Citroën, a collaboration that began in 2015 and has resulted in many inspiring projects. We will present several joint projects and activities at this event. But above all, we are proud to collaborate on the Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision concept car, designed as the dream car of young surfers. This project allows us to highlight the recycling processes of used wetsuits, emphasizing the shared commitment of our two brands to sustainability and innovation in the service of freedom and adventure.” – said Mathieu Lefin – President of Rip Curl Europe.

During the week of the competition, Citroën will provide a fleet of vehicles to transport participants and offer test drives for the Ami and Ami Buggy models.
Developed for the competition, the Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision is designed specifically for adventurers focused on relaxation and recreation. It is complemented by distinctive colors, materials and smart features tailored to the needs of surfers. The Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision concept car can be viewed at the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as throughout the competition.
The relationship between Citroën and Rip Curl
Citroën and Rip Curl share a sense of movement and exploration, whether it's traveling the roads or riding the waves. Citroën has been embodying boldness and comfort for everyone for over a century, while Rip Curl embodies a passion for surfing and nature in technical and inspiring products.
The partnership began in 2016 with a special edition C4 Cactus, followed by the C4 Picasso, SpaceTourer and C3 Aircross in 2018, and then the Berlingo in 2021. This collaboration celebrates a lifestyle focused on adventure, well-being and meaningful innovation.
"I am delighted to renew the partnership between Citroën and Rip Curl, two brands that develop stylish, technical products to promote well-being, leisure and relaxation. Together, we share the same vision focused on adventure, style and freedom, designed for younger generations. The Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision embodies the free spirit and creativity that unites the two brands. With this concept, we reaffirm our commitment to making electric mobility accessible, starting with micromobility, making it available from the age of 14 and focusing on leisure activities.” – he muttered Xavier Chardon – CEO of Citroën
New surfer spirit for Ami Buggy
Thanks to Rip Curl's expertise, the design has been optimised for surfers: intelligent storage spaces, increased space and leisure features. Citroën shares this vision, making electric mobility adventurous, accessible and stylish.
The surf buggy's purple body color contrasts with the white sunroof, black canvas, and black spoiler.

- Waterproof bag for wet equipment
- Foldable, waterproof passenger side storage compartment
- Roof and side attachment points for surfboards without distorting the cabin
